Bill Thayer, co-founder of Schauermann Thayer Jacobs Staples & Edwards PS is sharing his 36-plus years of experience at the upcoming Washington State Association for Justice's Clark County Roundtable, an educational opportunity for attorneys in Clark County, WA.
The Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ) works with Washington's top legal professionals to protect the legal rights of their clients to ensure they will receive the best resources and strategies from the courtroom to the Capitol.
Part of WSAJ's educational goal is putting together meetings for fellow attorneys to get together with each other and keep current on changing laws and procedures, and learn from other local experienced attorneys.
On Friday, March 17, Bill Thayer, along with Tom Hojem from Caron, Colven, Robison & Shafton PS will be discussing default judgments at WSAJ's Clark County Roundtable.
A default judgment is typically granted when either the defendant or plaintiff fail to appear in a court of law when they've been summoned to do so. In our attorneys' experience, a default judgment can be a useful tool in motivating defendants in particular circumstances to treat our clients more fairly.
