Craig Schauermann and Scott Edwards each earned honors again by their inclusion as 2019 “Super Lawyer” and “Rising Star” selectees, respectively, by Law and Politics Magazine. In 2019, Brad Thayer was named a “Rising Star” selectee for the first time also.
Every year Super Lawyers selects attorneys throughout the United States. Lawyers enter the candidate pool by being nominated by peers or otherwise identified by having “attained certain honors, results or credentials, which indicate a high degree of peer recognition or professional competence.” Five percent of the total lawyers in each state are selected as Super Lawyers.
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same, except eligibility for inclusion in Rising Stars requires that a candidate must be younger than 40 years of age or in practice fewer than 10 years.
A co-founder of our firm, Craig Schauermann, was named a Super Lawyer for the 14th straight year. Craig is currently serving "Of Counsel" to the firm. For over 35 years, Craig successfully represented injured people and insurance consumers in a wide variety of personal injury and insurance claims, including auto and motorcycle collisions, work site injuries, premises liability claims, watercraft accidents, to name a few.
Scott Edwards was selected to the Rising Stars list for a second straight year. Scott joined Schauermann Thayer back in 2011 and joined as a partner in 2013. Since 2011, Scott has brought a unique set of skills and information to our firm, considering he had worked for nearly four years representing insurance companies and their clients as an attorney at the largest insurance defense firm in Portland and later as an in-house attorney for one of the larger insurance companies in the country prior to joining Schauermann Thayer. Scott now thoroughly enjoys representing injured people and insurance consumers in a wide variety of personal injury and insurance claims, including trucking cases, auto, bicycle, pedestrian, and motorcycle collisions, work-site injuries, dog bite cases, premises liability claims, and wrongful death claims, among others.
Brad Thayer joined the firm in 2015 and became a partner in 2018. He was presented the 2018 Rising Star Award by the Clark County Bar Association. His practice focuses on personal injury, dog bite, auto accident, biking accident, and wrongful death cases.
